ModCloth Fab Finds!

Over here at the Aimee Marie HQ, you’ll find that my wardrobe is full of high street clobber, handmade items & thrifted pieces— I’m all for supporting small businesses, charities & new designers! Which is why I salute ModCloth!

ModCloth came out of founder, Susan Gregg-Koger’s, desire to buy & share fab vintage pieces. As a teenager, she was a keen thrifter & never one to by-pass a bargain— she soon had a wardrobe full of clothes that weren’t even in her size! Now, along with an amazing team of people, she’s searching for unique pieces & upcoming hot designers, to sell on ModCloth.com for her eclectic group of customers, like you & I! Susan proves that you can love your work & still make a living at the same time— AND she makes it look easy. Awesome!

If you’re not familiar with them, where have you been? Go & take a look, now! I was lucky enough to receive some free beauties from the MC team today, which I l-o-v-e, love! I chose the gorgeous Party of Five Tunic, partly because of the amazing show that it’s named after (ah, bring back the nineties!), but also because it looked like it would be so versatile & light for the summer– & it is! I’m envisioning it paired with leather, leggings & DM’s in the day, killer heels & accessories for the night & even jeans & pumps for the office.

You may have also noticed my other gift in the first set— the lovely Lucy Locket bracelet! I love how chunky this is– big & bold is completely my thing. I don’t do dainty! The locket is also big enough to fit a decent sized photo, if you so wish. It’s got a lovely vintage feel to it & jingles & jangles when you move— the true sign in a good bracelet, is the noise it makes! I’m already planning some new outfits with these gems, so look out for them in What I Wore posts!

The lovely guys & girls at my new fav indie & vintage clothing store have given aimeemarieblog readers a lovely 10% off an entire order until 1st August 2009! Just enter promo code “aimee” at the checkout! Great, huh? If you’re stuck with what to shell your pennies out on, set your peepers on the Breathless Dress in Starry Night, The Hannah Dress (so cute!), Paris Je T’Aime necklace & my personal fav, the Dapperly Dietrich Satchel!

So what are you waiting for?
