Purple sherbert is just one of the three free shades from Ciaté, available with the July edition of Marie Claire magazine. It’s a lovely shade of lilac, similar to Berry Ice Cream from Barry M, although at £9, Ciaté ‘paint pots’ retail at 3 times the price! I was a bit annoyed at first, because the coverage was so sheer and watery after just one coat, but it dried quickly, allowing you to add more as needed. I went with three coats, but could possibly do with four! That doesn’t bother me too much as it was a freebie, but if I’d paid £9 for this, I’d be bitterly disappointed! This is the first time I’ve tried anything from Ciaté, but I’d be interested to try their other colours, to see whether there’s a bit of inconsistency between them and it’s just this shade. I hope so, as they have some gorgeous shades, not to mention the cute pots themselves, adorned with a bow!
Also available with the magazine, are Jelly Bean (pink) and Bon Bon (taupe). It doesn’t look like any of the three shades are available on their website, so if you like them, grab a copy of Marie Claire, pronto!
