I can’t believe we’re half way already. (Well, technically I’m 19 weeks & 2 days, but who’s counting?!) I’m so impatient and exclaim to my husband pretty much every day, that I want to meet the baby NOW! Naturally, I’ll be wishing he or she was nestled in my womb again, after a few months of no sleep, but I am just so excited. They say the second half of a woman’s pregnancy seems longer— and I guess that’s because most people don’t know about the little one for a few weeks, and then there’s all the potential waiting around when the due date is finally here— so I guess I need to get used this!
Some days, I feel as big as a house already— like today when I took the photos above!— but other days, like in my work uniform, I don’t look preggers at all! But I love my bump. I love stroking my bump, patting my bump, talking to my bump… yeah, I’m a regular nutjob.
We’re going to see inside that there bump again on Wednesday and hopefully (if baby is in the right position) find out if it’s a boy or a girl. Arthur or Martha. Ding or dong!

My sister used to pat her womb and sing and talk to her bump all the time. At 4 months old, my niece is much more developed than other babies her age :D.
My sis also got this really neat machine that allowed her to hear her baby’s heartbeat anytime she wanted. I think that you might like to get one too.
Aw, bless! I’ve heard good things about talking to your unborn child, so that’s my excuse!
I think the fetal doppler’s are a great idea, but I’d get paranoid if I couldn’t hear the little one’s heartbeat properly, so probably not so great for me!
You look so good! It’s making me miss my bump SO much!
You’ll be amazed at how quickly pregnancy will go, and the first few months as a Mother. My baby boy is 3 months old now, and every day is a new experience and I’m more in love than I ever thought I could be. It also only seems like yesterday that he was born!
I’m gonna guess that you’re having a boy!
Tess xx
Oh wow, thanks! My goddaughter’s mum always says that she misses her bump too, so I’m trying to relish the time now! I can imagine childhood in general just whizzes by.
And you’re right, we’re having a boy! :)
I think we all love our bumps more than we admit to it :) LOL I also had one of those machines that lets you hear their heart beat, it’s called a fetal doppler.
Haha, yes definitely!
How did you get on with the fetal doppler? They scare me a little, as I think I’d get paranoid and then panic if I couldn’t hear it one time!
Well I’d imagine it’s kind of an all or nothing thing with an electronic doppler, kind of like a stethoscope, you’ll either be hearing exactly what’s going on or nothing at all if it isn’t working. I used the Baby Sound B doppler and it always worked great and only cost about $40.
:D:D:D:D BAAAAAAAAABY!
