Animal Rights

London is fabulous and I need to see more of it. I feel like a tourist in my own home!
I went to the London Aquarium on Saturday with the boyf, to see the Shark feed. There was slight disappointment when small fish were thrown into the tank, rather than a lavish ceremony with a whole cow being lowered down for consumption (think Jurassic Park), but it was a good day nonetheless. I can’t help but think how small their living quarters are though. Even if the creatures in zoo’s and aquarium’s are used to living in captivity, because they’ve been born and bred there, doesn’t make it right, does it? If a child is born into an abusive family, we don’t brush over it because it is all the child knows, we do something about it. I’m not an animal person and I’m certainly not an animal rights activist, but I believe they should have much, much bigger spaces to live in. It’s important for children and adults alike to learn about the world and the creatures in it, but it’s also important that we know about their natural habitats and animal instincts.
I’m off work for a few weeks and I’ve literally spent my whole day in my pj’s, obsessing over my music collection. In conclusion, I need more music, so please recommend me some new/fav artists of yours! My fab new 80gb iPod would appreciate it, as so far it has a lot of nostalgic music on it and some Spanish podcasts, to help me learn the language.
Learning a language, was another on of my New Years Resolutions. They’re actually going quite well, much to my surprise. I’ve been photographing around London (and have a possible Wedding gig lined up), walked from Green Park to Victoria (and didn’t get lost! Nor did I pass out from lack of exercise), had a lovely night out with my ladies, with more planned for the future, found a few jobs/work experience positions to apply for and saved £100.
We won’t mention all the Twirls I’ve eaten.
