My little Katie— Aaah, I get so mushy around little folk!
Long baths— My brain is doing so much overtime recently, that I’m finding it hard to sleep (& I usually have absolutely no problem in this department!), so long hot baths with lots of bubbles & glitter are doing the trick, nicely!
Planning— Life = mad exciting right now!
Blogging— Bit of an obvious one, no? I realise things have been very quiet on the Aimee Marie front recently, but I’ve got a lot to do over the next few weeks, all of which shall be revealed very soon! However in between life’s manic & hectic moments of complete & utter madness, & wandering thoughts, I’ve managed to put pen to paper (well, more like finger to keyboard) & I’ve started 5 different posts/articles for you! I’m starting to get back into the swing of things. Hello to new readers— I know you’re out there!
Debating— Yes, she’s successful. Yes, she’s an inspiration to many. No, she’s not groundbreaking. No, I won’t be taking her advice of breaking the speed limit, as a top 50 thing to do before I die. No, I don’t really care about how her lifestyle is funded. No, she doesn’t have Copyright on colours & therefore I will use pink & blue simultaneously if I so wish. No, just because I’m a blogger doesn’t mean I (or any other blogger for that matter), want to be a carbon-copy of her. Yes, we (& other bloggers) share similar interests– no, we wouldn’t be reading her blog if it wasn’t anything we were intrigued by. Yes, we will probably therefore write about the same kind of things.
There’s been a whole big debate recently over a pink-haired, unicorn-loving, cupcake-eating journalist & I’m sure you know who I mean. I know my feelings & thoughts on the matter (as well as She Who Shall Not Be Named in general), but I doubt I’ll be publishing an article about it anytime soon (although never say never), as I don’t think I’d like it if people wrote about me in the same way either, constructively or not. That’s my two cents on the matter, but if you’re interested, read articles from Poppy Gallico (& article no.02), a Love & Sequins review from Cupcakes & Mace & this, the article from Cut Out + Keep that’s sparked the recent debate, Vixel’s take on it at Sparkle & Glitter & also this.

Last paragraph = right on.
Thanks!
I’d like to point out that Flickr is pink & blue, and surely Flickr was around before she?
Youknowsit.
I don’t hate Gala, nor do I like her, and I am not a fan of her work. I understand that it is beneficial to many people though, perhaps not in recent months however? It’s just not something I am interested in, as I have said before.
I read through the comments on that Cut out + Keep article, and I have to say personal insults aside, a lot of what was said makes MUCH more sense than what she portrays on her blog. While she doesn’t explicitly state that all her earnings come from her blog, she heavily implies it, and it does seem unlikely that icing could support her lifestyle. I don’t want to know how much she earns and I don’t really care, but if she is selling the idea of being able to make a living doing what you love when she’s not, well that’s pretty hypocritical.
Whoops sorry I meant to post that last comment on another post (too many pages open!) feel free to delete it if you like.
We don’t have a bath and while it’s not something that I love doing, every now and then it’s great to wallow in a bath full of hot water (with bubbles!). I am jealous of your ability to have baths!
No worries— I thought it was pretty relevant, so I’ve left it!
& yes bubble baths are great! You should invest in a bath if you can— if only to buy Lush bath ballistics!
Thanks for all the links in the last paragraph…I haven’t read some of those articles yet. Also, I really love the “She Who Shall Not Be Named” moniker…ahaha.
I haven’t been to your blog before, but I really like it! Definitely bookmarking for later reading :)
No worries– I’ve just realised quite how many posts there are about it, myself!
And thanks for bookmarking! I love new readers, ‘cos it usually means I discover their blog too– It’s a win win situation!
Is it okay if I link your blog from mine? I like to keep a list of my favorite blogs there and yours is so great! I know my blog is nothing very special, but I’m pretty new to this :)
Aw, of course that’s fine! Thanks.
I need to filter my links page soon, so you never know, you might see your name up there some time soon! ;)
I’m absolutely loving your website my dear- it is gorgeous! Going to add it to my follow list now. Thank you for commenting on mine :)
And I’m going to read a few of them articles about ‘she who won’t be named’. I used to love her website but feel it has gone downhill recently. xxx
Aw, thanks. I’ve been reading yours for a while now.
& I totally agree, it’s unfortunately gone down hill.
OK, so I’m late to the party. I think it’s a fantastic idea to have those resources we go to – to lift us up, but being uplifting isn’t magic (and it’s true that everyone has BLEH days). It’s just being a human, being a real person, and being sincere. I can tell my readers I believe in them, because I interact with most of them daily (even if it’s via the Twitters).
I stumbled across your bloggity by way of Frock ‘n’ Roll. Keep being enchanting! xo
