The Week In Notes • #006
Where has the last week or so disappeared to? I have so many emails to sift through, comments to reply to and photos to take for future posts, not to mention the fact my Google Reader is bursting with unread blogs! I’ve been back at work for a few weeks now (even if it is only a couple of days a week!) so I’m slowly getting into the swing of things and settling into a new routine. Travel is a bit of a bitch, as far as getting Byron to my parents / in-laws goes, but we’re getting used to it. He slept until 8am today, despite our neighbours starting DIY at 9:45pm last night. Bless you, child! And bless my husband for getting up early, meaning I had the bed to myself!
Talking of my ever-so-lovely husband, he has purchased me a brand spanking new Canon 650d as an early Christmas present! Hells yeah. We’re currently sharing it while he needs it for his business and music ventures, but he’ll have one of his own soon, so I’ll be able to get my grubby mitts on it and I can’t wait! I fully intend on filming Byron’s first Christmas, plus obligatory photos. Plus, I can film more for my Youtube channel, so if you have any requests, let me know. I’m planning on talking about my birth experience some time this week, as requested by my pal Holly!
We got our Christmas on in our household, today! I went out to buy more fairylights as B loves them— & it’s just as well, because the cupboard seems to have eaten the ones we had last year. The tree is up, presents are wrapped (and only one more to get!), cards written and I’ve pimped the front room with baubles and glitter. My husband (who hasn’t been at home today and couldn’t care less about Christmas decor) will be pleased. I’m now sitting here eating Minstrels and drinking hot chocolate in bed, ignoring the fact that there’s glitter all over the floor and lots of housework to do, whilst simultaneously pondering my theory that Gary Barlow made Christopher Maloney sing Buble on The X Factor, so he’d get voted off and James Arthur would win. S’what I’d do anyway.
…It’s probably time for bed!
