butterflies (the stomach kind); fun, hectic, exciting, scary, mad times all rolled in to one; 3 page long IKEA wishlists; baked beans & cheese; sorting out my finances & geeking out over spreadsheets; re-discovering old CDs (Interpol! Your Code Name Is: Milo! The Wombats!); day dreaming & making list after list; Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!; Frankie Boyle & ‘fuck nugget’; kitsch homewares; thank you cards & big bunches of flowers; the guy who wrote “marry me” in a nearby field (& hasn’t owned up to it, yet!); wedding invitations; dippy eggs & soldiers!; Mock The Week; baths & out-of-date Lush bath bombs & soap slices!
+++ Normal blogging will resume shortly, but at the moment there are some (semi-secret!) life-changing things happening, that I can’t divulge quite yet, so for now I shall be a woman of mystery!

Step One: Make sure you’ve already applied your base make-up, including under eye concealer & eyeshadow primer. Apply Rimmel’s 8hr Colour Mousse in no.001 (Snow Queen) all over your eyelid. It’s white with a blue-purple tone to it & so sparkly & shimmery.
Step Two: Line your upper & lower lashes with No7′s Metallic Eye Pencil in no.05 (Purple)
Step Three: Sweep a raspberry coloured eyeshadow over your lid, but don’t go up to the crease! I used no.58 from Make-Up For Ever— my fav eyeshadow, ever! Amazing vibrant colour & so pigmented! After you’ve done this, blow any excess colour off of the brush & blend it in slightly. Drag the brush underneath your eye & go over your lower lashline.
Step Four: Using a rich purple (I used no.92 by Make-Up For Ever), concentrate on the outer corner of your eyes & your eye socket, to gradually add some darker tones.
Step Five: Using a kohl eyeliner of your choice (or a black eyeshadow & short-bristled smudging brush, as I did) line your top lashes to give the look more depth.
Step Six: I love a bit of sparkle, so I added some Glam Crystals Glitter Eyeliner in no.11 (Shake It Up) by Collection 2000 to my outer, upper lashline & the inner, lower corner of my eye.
Step Seven: Add a big slick of mascara et voila!

So, I’m in the bath, merrily splashing away & this little piece of paper appears by my side, floating around, with some words etched upon it. Like a fortune cookie. Except I hadn’t had a fortune cookie. Where did it come from? Was it a message from above?! Should I start believing in the Big G-Man & his junior? Just as I was about to question my own sanity, I realised.

Last week was full of headaches, a high temperature & lethargy. My scheduled Friday Feeling post never happened, as I managed to lose everything (posts, pages, the lot) when I upgraded WordPress! Thankfully, I got it all back eventually, thanks to an amazing button titled ‘rebuild’, but the moral of this story is “back-up, back-up, back-up”! So, being one who hates failure & this being goal no.074 on my 101 in 1001 list, here’s a very belated FF entry.

+++ photoshopping 24/7; baking cupcakes; sleeping off my illness; fav-ing everything beautiful on Flickr; red grapes; the pub quiz; new specs; watching YouTube tutorials; L’Oreal Mineral Foundation; failing my 365 project for the 3rd time!; only having a handful of these FF posts to go, before I’ve completed another goal!

+++ sorting out my photos for Project 365 & playing with my new lens; car-hunting; Torchwood(!!!); overdosing on Skins (I never, ever watched this when it was on TV but now I’m hooked); trying to help navigate my friends away from driving through Central London, over the phone (tricky stuff!); salmon fishfinger sandwiches; watching millions of Youtube tutorials & vlogs; deleting 200+ people from my Facebook ‘friends’ list; winning the pub quiz (by cheating!…); my lovely Pauls Boutique necklace from the girls for my birthday; tieing up all the loose ends for the UK Lady Bloggers meet; indulging in some ‘me’ time!

One of my 101 goals, was to write & publish 100 facts about me & a lot of you that completed the survey, wanted to know more personal things about the lady behind the lens & blog, so here is part one!

1. By now, you’ll know that bright & vibrant colours run right through my life, from my photographic work, to my wardrobe to my make-up. High saturation ticks all the right boxes for me & I’m not afraid to be bold & get noticed.
2. Given my love for pink, sequins, celeb culture & general good-girly-times, it probably wouldn’t surprise you that I like chart music— but I’m also partial to (death) metal. Bit of The Black Dahlia Murder, anyone?
3. I love cosmetics & own 12 glitter eyeliners, plus a ludicrous amount of eyeshadows & pigments, as well as numerous bronzers, blushers, nail polishes & hair products. And a £100 trolley to whip it all around in!
4. I’m addicted to Spearmint Trebor Extra Strong Mints & minty things in general: softmints; toothpaste; mint choc chip ice-cream; After Eight mints; gum; lip balm— nom nom nom! Fresh.
5. I like the fruity smell of unlit tobacco, but hate smoking, not only because of the health risks, but that skanky, stale smell of old smoke that clings to your hair, clothes, curtains & any available fabric! Stank.
6. I’m a complete foodie & eat / cook for pleasure, not survival. I could never be a fussy eater! The only things I’ve tried & don’t like are brussel sprouts, pure dark chocolate & pies full of rich gravy.
7. I visit the Procrastination Station regularly. (Hello? I could be doing something productive right now, but instead I’m being really quite narcissistic.) I can always think of something I ‘must’ do, when I should be doing housework!
8. My blood type is O+.
9. I love that my name’s not just spelt a-m-y (despite the frustration of most people getting it wrong & spelling it Amiee!)
10. I’m very visually indecisive, which is why I constantly change layouts & could probably never get a tattoo. I’m always looking back through my photographs & thinking of new ways to re-invent them.
11. I met my partner at work– it wasn’t love at first sight, as we didn’t start talking for almost a year! But a mutual love of some bands brought us together & within a week of our first date, we were official! And still together over 4 years later.
12. I can’t judge the length of car journeys & usually end up being late! This is probably one of my worst traits.
13. I love long train journeys (providing I have a seat) & listening to my iPod & writing notes & generally being quite romanticised about the whole thing– although rubbing sweaty shoulders with the person next to me, while crammed in like sardines during a delay, is usually the situation!
14. I rarely sing in front of people (so there’s always that chance I could have an amazing hidden talent & be the next Mariah, without even knowing, eh?!)
15. I have a beauty spot on my stomach that I used to call my “chocolate chip” when I was younger.
16. I do most of my thinking & plan out my day, when in the bath/shower. It’s the one place I can be alone, with no distractions!
17. I own close to 70 handbags. And that’s after a major clear-out!
18. I have a few very close friends, rather than a big group of acquaintances, which is the way I prefer it. I recently whittled down my Facebook friends & deleted 200 people from my life! It felt good.
19. I’d rather be boiling hot, than freezing cold— I’d choose Summer over Winter, any day! Summer is so much more exciting than any other season— beaches, holidays, ice-creams, sunshine, long days. Good times!
20. I love lists: shopping; to do; wishlists; photography ideas; happy things; this!; anything & everything! Actually ticking things off of them however, is a whole new problem.
