1, 2, 3.  It’s been so long since I wrote anything for this series, that I think I’ve probably repeated myself.  Oops!

61. I’m getting married in May 2011 to my partner of 6 years and it’s going to be the best day ever (not to mention the most amazing party!)

62. I hate everything that N-Dubz stand for, but love their music at the moment!  Such a guilty pleasure.

63. I can’t remember the last time I went to the cinema.  Literally.

64. I’m really good at 10-pin bowling, for some reason.  I have no technique, but I’ve won every game I’ve played in the last year or so!  I’m shit hot at bowling on the Wii too.  And to think, my teacher once said I had no ball skills— that’ll show you…!

65. I suck at gymnastics.  I can’t cartwheel or do a handstand or anything.  I’m not even sure I could do a forward roll these days without fear of breaking my neck!  Teddy bear rolls are as about as good as it gets.

66. My favourite font is either Helvetica or Verdana. I hate Comic Sans and don’t understand why it is still readily available, unless you’re a primary school teacher!

67. I can guess how many beers my fiance has had just by the way he smells(!)  He might have had just one, 5hrs previously, but I always know.  I think I must have been a police dog in a previous life!

68. I can’t burp. Not because I don’t want to, but the noise just won’t come out. Zilch. It can be quite uncomfortable sometimes!

69. The thought of being involved in a natural disaster terrifies me.  My parents house flooding due to torrential rain, while I was home alone & they were in another country, was bad enough thankyouverymuch!

70. Ashley makes me laugh every single day, without fail.  Love.

71. I lovelovelove my beauty sleep.  I’m currently workings 12hours a day, 5 days a week and it slowly but surely killing me.

72. Sometimes I think I might have OCD— but then I realise I’m messy 80% of the time!  That 20% of time that I tidy up though, I tidy up good & hate it if someone doesn’t put something back in the correct place.  Until I mess it up again that is.

73. I’m not allergic to anything, except pollen.  And possibly something in Banana Boat Sun Oil that makes me feel like my back is being stung by a thousand bees!

74. Chocolate is the best when it’s been chilled for a while, to it’s hard and crunchy.  Yum.

75. I love the Welsh accent!  Gavin and Stacey is even better because of this fact.

76. I loved being a redhead, but it’s so hard to keep up— the dye stained my shower more than it did my hair!

77. I really dislike black and white photography.  What is the point?  Colour, all the way.

78. I was (apparently) scared of grass when I was a baby— I’d scream my head off if you put me down on it, but I’d be as right a rain when my dad picked me up again.  Actually, thinking about it, I’m not exactly at one with nature now!

79. My dad’s side of the family are South African.  My nan used to make the BEST South African pumpkin fritters— I found her recipe and tried to make them, but they were rank.  Very disappointed!

80. I’ve been driving for three years, but haven’t driven on the motorway (yet.)

Life has been absolutely hectic, and not in a good way either!  A typical day involves waking up at 4am to get ready for work and be there at 6am, ask to go home at around 5pm (yeah, asking to go home when I’ve already been there 11hrs with just a 30 minute break, thankyouverymuch!), get home at around 6pm and make dinner and tidy up a little for when my fiance comes home at around 7:30pm, eat and then fall asleep on the sofa at around 9pm, before mustering the energy to climb into bed shortly after.  There’s simply been no time for blogging, seeing friends or family, housework, photography, reading, or anything fun!  This does not a happy Aimee make.  6pm isn’t exactly late to be getting home, but it is when you’ve been up for 14hrs, and have to get up in another 10!  This job is killing me, both physically and mentally.  I’ve applied for exactly 34 jobs since 6th May and I’ve heard zilch, and I’m starting to lose the will to live.

In happier news, our wedding plans are going swimmingly!  The thought of it has been keeping me going, when sometimes I’ve been so tired, bored and irritated (at work) that I just want to cry.  I’ve been talking dresses, cupcakes and colour schemes to any ear that will listen.  I love it.  I think I might be turning into one of those mothers with newborn babies that can’t talk about anything else but their offspring.  This wedding is like my little sprog!  We’ve got so many great, unique ideas!  I just want to plan it all now— and while that’s a GREAT idea— some of it is just not feasible to be doing this far ahead.  We have been designing our Save The Date cards though, and they’re going to be awesome.

I’ve also been working on my 101 in 1001 list, which I haven’t even managed to finish writing yet!

Do you have a 101 in 1001 list?  What’s on it?  I need some inspiration!  What do you want to accomplish in life?

Catch-up with parts one & two, here & here.

41. I love love love the smell of coconut toiletries— body scrubs, shampoo, anything! Yum.

42. Not many people know about my ‘online life’, despite the fact it’s hugely publicly accessible!

43. I love me a good notebook. Mmm, notebookey / agenda / diary goodness! It probably comes from my organised side, although I’m a bit of a perfectionist & hate making that first mark / note on a fresh new page, & end up scrapping it because it didn’t look quite right! Ah. Moleskine, anyone?!

44. I didn’t go to university, despite friends & teachers expecting me to. It’s just not me for me & I hate the way people are shocked if you don’t go, nowadays! There are other things to do in life, you know! Grrr.

45. Growing my hair is one of the hardest things ever, even though I haven’t actually got to do anything… I’m just so used to having shorter, manageable hair that I love, but I’ve set myself a challenge & I shall complete it! Long, naturally wavy hair, you will be mine!

46. I’m the least sporty & athletic person I know, but I plan to get a lot more active in the new year, without paying stupid amounts for a gym membership— jogging, all the way!

47. I have a really good memory, particularly for the smallest, insignificant details!

48. The first band I saw live was Lifehouse.

49. I did work experience at two big teen / young adult magazines in their fashion cupboard.

50. I rode into a washing line when I was younger, on my cute little pink bike & then fell into a rosebush. It hurt & I still have the scars to prove it!

51. I can’t click my thumb / finger together on my right hand. It just won’t work. There’s no sound. What’s up with that?!

52. I learnt to play the recorder when I was younger, like most 5yr old girls! Me & my gal pals did it, because we loved our teacher & her gorgeous, curly ginger hair! We thought she was amazingly cool & I even used to write to her when she left our school. Aww.

53. I get a little bit of secret road rage with other drivers sometimes, but for all the right reasons— if they cut me up, drive right up my arse or they’re on their phone. I hate people who use their phone while driving. Why are there never any police around?!

54. I’m a bit skeptical of horoscopes & star signs, because I think you can apply the vague attributes to most people.  However, as a Cancerian, I’m meant to be emotional, moody, imaginative, cautious & protective— & I definitely am!

55. My fav TV show is probably Eastenders.  You can’t beat a bit of unrealistic, over-the-top London life!

56. I passed my driving test the second time around.  Apparently the first time, I didn’t observe on my manoeuvres— no, no Mr Examiner, clearly you weren’t the observant one, because I did!

57. I’m agnostic— there might be something out there, but none of this building the world in 7 days jibber jabber.

58. I hate bad grammar.  The odd mistake is totally forgiveable, but I despise the way some people seem to communicate these days, by doubling letters in a sentence eg. ‘I lovee myy family andd frieendss. Ur gr8″ (Taken from an actual Facebook status.) The fact that this bothers me so much, make me feel old!

59. I always have my toenails painted, no matter what the season.

60. My boyfriend proposed to me on December 12th 2009 in front of the Eiffel Tower, Paris. The best.

Myself & my fiance are trying to eat healthily this year (isn’t everyone?!), but these arctic conditions that the UK has been left with, really is not the best time for chicken salads & the like, so I whipped open an extra thick tomato & herb cup-a-soup, to fill a little hole. Yum!

06/01/10

I’ve not been able to go very far this week at all, on my GENUINE non-snow-day week off of work, which is gutting! I have spent a lot of time looking for new jobs though & even succumbed to moving my entire iMac from the study to the sofa, so I could get cosy. I miss having a laptop sometimes!

07/01/10

I took a well deserved break from all the housework that I seemed to have done over & over again this week, & had a little home pampering sesh!

I’m loving planning my wedding!  Cutting out photos of beautiful dresses, looking at colour schemes & thinking about my guest-list, taking inspiration from blogs & day-dreaming;  Do I want a small ceremony & a big party?  What should we have to eat during the wedding breakfast?  Do I want a classic car or a horse drawn carriage?  Where should we go on our honeymoon?  I wonder what the speeches will be like?  Who should we get to photograph the wedding?  What kind of music will we have?  I’m an obsessed woman!  It may not be for a few years yet, but I don’t want to to leave anything to the last minute or miss out any minor detail.

I don’t know why I do it to myself.  I’m certainly determined, if not completely insane & stubborn.  I first started on my birthday, back in 2008, but gave up shortly afterwards.  I did try again this time last year & once again on my birthday, vowing that it would be the last time I took part—- & yet, here I am again.  Another 365 project!  (I’m a perfectionist & if I miss a day, I feel the need to start all over again.)

So here it is. 365 days, with a photo each day.  Not necessarily a portrait of myself, a groundbreaking image or even a photo that particularly represents that day.  Project 365 // Twenty-Ten, is about picking up my camera more regularly again & just getting back into the habit, once more.  I’ve become a bit nonchalant, lazy & sluggish about photography more recently, but now I want to make time & claw back my zest & passion for the art— & this is just one little stepping stone!

Organisation.  Planning.  Focus.  Positive-mental-attitude.  Photography.  Writing.  Simple.  Happiness.  Fun.  Holidays.  Friends. These are just some of the buzzwords flitting around my head like a butterfly, to make 2010 just as good (if not, better) than 2009!

My Moleskine is at the ready, with my 101 in 1001 list at the back, so it’s never out of my mind & dates, goals & events scrawled across each page. I’ve simplified the blog, so I can focus on my writing, again. I’m tidying up my living & working space, so I can get stuck into my photography & not get distracted. The Wii fit is set up & ready to go! I’ve started collecting pictures, colours & leaflets to plan my wedding. The beginning of a new year is fantastic. I love it. So refreshing!

+++ You can read part one, here!

21. If I had to choose one cuisine to eat for the rest of my life, it would definitely be Chinese. I just love chicken chow mein, singapore noodles, crispy duck & pancakes, spring rolls, prawn toast… mmm-mmm! (Obviously not all in one sitting though…)

22. I’m a very organised person— I like to know what’s happening & when, folders with different divided sections, labelled items & putting things in alphabetical or chronological order. My brain just doesn’t work, otherwise! Despite the way my flat might sometimes look, I can’t actually work in a messy environment.

23. I’ve never had a pet (besides two goldfish when I was younger, that died after a few days & got flushed away— RIP fishies with no name!) & find it hard to have sympathy for people, when the death of a pet hits them hard, like the death of a family member. Sorry if that’s you!

24. I loved dancing & acting on stage at school & auditioned for every production. Bit of Guys & Dolls, anyone? Maybe you’d like to see me dancing in a blue wig to a medley or awful music, with my pals? Yeah, there’s video evidence that’s yet to be destroyed!

25. I don’t actually drink alcohol that often, but when I do vodka & OJ is the way forward!

26. I have a love/hate relationship with my retail / customer service job, on a day-to-day basis! On the whole though, I like it. You can slag retail off as much as you like, but I get to meet so many people, from all walks of life. Plus, I find enjoyment in knowing that I’m often right & the customer’s wrong— it can be a great stress-reliever!

27. I used to be so shy. Like, really shy— even though I loved to be on stage. I can still be quiet in some situations now, but that’s because I’m an observational person & I’m taking everything in. Photographers need to be almost invisible sometimes y’know!

28. I’d choose chocolate & biscuits over savoury snacks, any day! Biscuits & tea is the best combination, after a long day at work (or shopping. Those bags are heavy!)

29. I don’t actually own many clothes— I’m all about the accessories! I can’t even begin to count how many rings, necklaces, bracelets & bangles, belts & scarves I have.

30. I’ve worn glasses since I was 5 years old. Little speccy-baby! I can’t see much without my specs or lenses at all.

31. My pet peeve is noisy eaters. I manage to eat without looking like a camel & smacking my lips, so why can’t you?

32. My first car (Renault Clio) was a free gift from a neighbour & family-friend, who didn’t need it anymore, because she was going travelling. Bargain!

33. I was a big fan of Funeral For A Friend back in the day & saw them approximately five times with Kate, as well as all the other bands at the time, that sounded pretty much the same. Ah, sweet nostalgia.

34. I became an aunt for the first time on 2nd August 2008, to my little niece (well, she’s actually my boyfriends niece, but that’s a mere technicality!) Katie. I’m currently trying to teach her to say my name!

35. I won a raffle when I was around 8 years old at a fair for London Cab Drivers that I was at with my cab driver Dad (something that when I was this age, seemed so exciting— free crap like pens, paper & plastic hats? Yes please!) & got my hands on a massive hi-fi! Plus, because I was wearing the free neon yellow baseball cap at the time, I got a free camera as well (perhaps this is where my career began?) I might also add that I didn’t know that if you were the winner & wearing said cap, you’d get a bonus prize— I was simply wearing it, ‘cos that’s how the 8 year old Aimee Marie rolled. Smooth.

36. I’m a big meat-eater! Myself and Ashley gave it up for a month once & it was hellish. I’ve often declared “I need MEAT” after an alcohol-fuelled night out & my friends won’t let me forget it.

37. I hate talking on the phone, if I don’t know someone to well. Awkward silences!

38. I guess you could say I’m half South-African, as my Dad’s side of the family descend from there & my dad was born & bred in Cape Town until he was around 10 years old. …exotic, eh?!

39. I wholeheartedly believe Ricky Gervais is a complete genius.

40. I got a grass-seed in my eye when I was at Brownie’s, by running through a field that I shouldn’t have. My eye blew up & my sister renamed me ‘Quasimodo’.

You might remember that one of my goals, was to develop my French and German speaking. Well it’s hard, despite having the basics embedded in my memory somewhere, from my school days. If you’re lucky enough to be able to read French or German, good luck making any sense of this! And if you can’t read either, well, then I guess it looks pretty impressive to you!

Ah, bonjour mon amis!

Have you ever felt like you’re just waiting for your life to start? Like right now, you’re just existing & looking forward to the future of love, careers & family, but the ball just hasn’t started to roll, yet? Me too!

But, remember when I said I had some life-changing events happening for me? Well now that it’s all confirmed, I can reveal that my ball is rolling. Infact, it’s excitedly tumbling & bouncing down the big, pink, glittery hill of life, into complete euphoria! Yes, I’m completing number one on my 101 in 1001 list & moving out with my boyfriend! You might be lucky enough to already be in the place that we’ve dreamed our lives would be, for years— so hopefully you’ll know how exciting this is. It’s a big step! A big deal. It’s not like flying the nest as a student who’s off to university— this is about us & the future. I can’t wait!

On Saturday, we’re picking up the keys to our new life. No more ‘what-ifs’, no more ‘when’, no more dreaming— just living!
